How to plant your lotus
Plant this beauty in a very wide container (24 - 48 inches wide) using loam soil and place where it will receive 8 - 12 hours of sunlight daily. Add four inches of water above the soil. Do not fertilize until you have aerial leaves.
How to fertilize your lotus
Wait until your lotus has aerial leaves to begin fertilizing your lotus. Fertilize this lotus regularly to maintain the rich color in the petals. If not fertilized properly, the color will fade. We recommend Waterlily World Fertilizer Tabs for optimum growth, best bloom and ease of use. Simply press the tabs into the soil near the roots of your lotus, taking care not to damage the roots. Fertilize throughout the growing/blooming season (June through September), with the last dose of fertilizer in early September. This allows your lotus to go into dormancy naturally.
