The Scott Addict 50 Bike carries a name with real weight in the road cycling world. The Addict line has been raced at the highest levels of the sport, and that lineage shapes how even this entry point into the range is built — the geometry, the intent, the way it asks you to ride. This is not a bike that hedges. It's a road bike designed to be ridden seriously, by a rider who takes their time on the road just as seriously.

The alloy frame draws on Addict's endurance-oriented geometry — a position that keeps you efficient over long distances without folding you into a posture that punishes you after two hours. Up front, a carbon fork changes the character of the ride in ways that matter. Carbon damps the persistent buzz of rough pavement, keeps the steering crisp on descents, and shaves unsprung weight from the front end, which is exactly where you want it removed. It's a pairing — alloy main triangle, carbon fork — that reflects considered engineering rather than a spec-sheet shortcut.

Underneath that chassis sits a Shimano drivetrain and hydraulic disc brakes. The brakes deserve mention on their own terms: consistent, modulated stopping power in all conditions, without the fade or inconsistency of mechanical alternatives. Whether you're hauling down a wet descent or navigating a technical climb, the braking response stays predictable. The drivetrain keeps things equally dependable — Shimano's reliability across long miles is well established, and here it gives the Addict 50 the mechanical foundation a road bike at this level should have. Long group rides, weekend sportives, solo base-building sessions — this is a bike built to show up for all of it.

Design Benefits

  1. Endurance Geometry That Works Over Distance: The Addict platform was developed with long-ride efficiency in mind — a riding position that distributes effort intelligently rather than forcing a trade-off between aerodynamics and comfort. Over a four-hour ride, that geometry pays dividends in how your back, neck, and hips feel at the end of it. This is a road bike designed to perform as the miles accumulate, not just in the first hour.
  2. Carbon Fork on an Alloy Frame: Pairing a carbon fork with an alloy frame is a deliberate choice — carbon absorbs high-frequency road vibration far more effectively than alloy, reducing the fatigue that builds through your hands and shoulders on rough roads. It also brings the steering feel closer to a full carbon bike: precise, light, and responsive. The result is a front end that punches noticeably above the weight class of the rest of the spec.
  3. Hydraulic Disc Brakes for All-Condition Riding: Hydraulic disc brakes operate consistently regardless of weather or rim temperature — there's no degradation in wet conditions and no build-up of heat during prolonged descents the way rim brakes can experience. The modulation is natural and progressive, giving you genuine feel through the lever rather than an on-off response. For riders who train year-round or tackle mixed-terrain routes, this is a meaningful advantage over mechanical alternatives.
  4. Shimano Drivetrain Reliability: Shimano's components at this level are proven over millions of kilometres of real-world riding. Consistent shifting, durable internals, wide service availability — the drivetrain on the Addict 50 is there to work every time you clip in. For a bike intended for high-frequency use, that dependability is not a minor footnote.
  5. Full Size Run for Proper Fit: The Carbon Grey colorway is available in seven sizes — XXS through XXL — giving riders across a broad range of heights and builds access to a frame that actually fits them. A correct fit is not a comfort luxury; it directly affects power transfer, handling, and long-term injury prevention. The size range here reflects a bike built for real riders rather than a narrow demographic.

Final Take

The Scott Addict 50 is built for riders who want a road bike with genuine capability — something that handles daily training, weekend endurance rides, and the occasional hard effort without needing to be coddled or reserved for special occasions. The carbon fork and hydraulic disc brakes lift the riding experience well beyond what the alloy frame alone might suggest, and the Addict geometry keeps it honest on the road. If you ride often and ride with intention, this bike is ready for that.

A familiar story, just with…..less.
Format: Kindle
So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.

Wow.
Format: Kindle
Okay I’m usually not one for stand-alone’s I’m an avid series reader but my goodness am I so happy I read this! This story was brilliant & so absolutely mesmerizing. I loved reading about each character and their struggles as well as what helped them to move forward. The ending definitely brought tears to my eyes so hard. I truly wasn’t expecting some of what happened in this story. There is about to be a spoiler I am going to reveal so please stop reading if you don’t want the spoiler !!!! ⚠️ ⛔️ ‼️ I loved that the author didn’t do what most authors do with irredeemable male characters. I truly was hoping that Nate Jr. would be apart of the pack after the way he treated Astrea bc he truly didn’t deserve it. Though I must say you did a wonderful job or redeeming him as a person. I cried my eyes out when he walked into the story. I was truly terrified he was going to be a bad guy to the end. However you truly did him such a justice by having him realize his faults & having him redeem himself in the most wonderful way. I’m so sad that he didn’t get to hear how much his brother loved him & forgave him before dying. But again you wrote that ending so beautifully & I just can’t express how much I loved this story & how you took a different route than most authors I have read have. You are a remarkable author Cinder Blaze & I thank you generously for creating such a masterpiece.

Omegaverse
Format: Kindle
I was pleasantly surprised by this omega verse book. This 1 definitely had a few new twists And I really enjoyed reading it. The main female character was a badass and awesome. She had 1 best friend I wish we could have seen a little bit more of their friendship in this book. Her relationship with the male characters was good not to contrived or super instantaneous. And we had some fun plot twists that I didn't expect. I wish we had more of a follow up on the situation with her family her background and her mother who was a wench. I would definitely recommend this book.

Wow. Just wow. An amazing read
Format: Kindle
This book was eloquently written, or should I say the authors writing style is very eloquent? I loved the characters, and the story was quite compelling. I absolutely loved the FMC, she's a BA who doesn't take any crap & gives as good as she gets. A certain person certainly got his just desserts & then some, the earlier scenes of which were quite satisfying, had me punching the air & everything haha. All in all 20/10, great read

My opinion
Format: Kindle
Let me preface this by saying I really liked the story and the characters however, this book is in desperate need of some sort of editing. It's not misspelled words or formatting, but continuous run on sentences. Redundancies within the sentences. There were a couple of paragraphs that I had to go back and reread 3 or 4 times. Overall, I'd say it was worth the read.
