The Maneco Labs 16 Seconds Delay Vintage Compact Pedal is a modern reinvention of the iconic 1983 looping delay, staying true to the original with a fully analog signal path. It incorporates pre-emphasis and de-emphasis, compression and expansion, and precise filtering for an authentic vintage feel. While digital processing is present, it is strictly limited to conversion and memory functions, preserving the pedal’s nostalgic eight-bit character.

Maneco Labs 16 Second Delay Compact Review

More than just a delay pedal, this unit serves as an audio time machine, combining eight-bit processing with analog circuitry to deliver warm, unrefined tones. User-friendly sliders and toggle switches provide intuitive control over delay time, speed, and modulation, while features like a triangle analog Low-Frequency Oscillator, reverse playback, and an analog click metronome enhance versatility. With a sleek, compact design built for modern pedalboards, this handcrafted Uruguayan creation honors the legacy of the 1983 classic while offering today’s musicians a powerful creative tool.

Maneco Labs 16 Second Digital Delay Compact Pedal Features

  • Maximum delay time of 16 seconds
  • Analog triangle LFO for pitch and time modulation
  • Reverse playback and slow/fast toggle switches
  • Illuminated sliders for precise parameter control
  • Hand-built in Uruguay with an all-analog signal path

Maneco Labs Sixteen Seconds Delay Vintage Compact Pedal Controls

  • Delay Coarse slider: Controls the size of memory block used for the delay to a maximum of 16 seconds in FAST setting and 32 seconds in SLOW, approximately. values due to the tolerances involved in clock circuit control.
  • Delay Fine slider: This control allows for smooth time and pitch changes by adjusting the sampling rate from highest to lowest pitch.
  • Speed slider: Sets the speed for the triangle waveform low-frequency oscillator (LFO) used to modulate the sampling rate, with a LED indicator for visual feedback.
  • Depth slider: Controls the amount of LFO modulation that affects the sampling rate, ranging from subtle pitch fluctuations to deep and dramatic dives and rises.
  • Feedback slider: This is a regeneration control that manages the amount of output signal from the delay line that is sent back to the input of the memory. This enables the creation of echo and overdub effects. When set to its maximum level, it can cause oscillation or what is commonly known as "runaway feedback".
  • Blend slider: It is possible to adjust the mix between the dry signal and delay signal, ranging from 0% to 100%.
  • Slow/fast switch: By changing the sampling rate to half or double, the time and pitch can be adjusted to be longest, one octave down (slow), or fastest/one octave up (fast).
  • Reverse Switch: To change the direction of playback of memory content, you can use the reverse function. However, please note that this is not the same as a "reverse delay" effect, since the audio input is not continuously reversed like in the Danelectro Back Talk Echo. What's interesting about using the reverse function while overdubbing is that a new layer recorded over a reversed one will play forward. If you then switch back to reverse mode, the previous layer will play backwards while the new one will be reversed. It's actually much easier to try this out yourself than for me to try to explain it in words.
  • Infinite footswitch: When you engage the "freeze" or "hold" control, the recording function will stop, and the existing memory will play continuously. If you use the bypass footswitch, it will mute the delay signal output, but it won't stop the delay from recording. This means that you can continuously record while in bypass mode.
  • Power: Any standard pedal power with center negative polarity will work. Just ensure it can provide at least 150 milliamps of current to have a margin. There are no fancy requirements.

EHX 16 Second Delay Compact Alternative

The Maneco Labs 16 Seconds Delay Vintage Compact pedal stands out as a modern alternative to the legendary EHX 16 Second Digital Delay, offering a fresh take on the groundbreaking concepts introduced by the original. The Electro-Harmonix 16 second delay was a trailblazer in merging extended delay times with looping features. In this vein, the Maneco Labs pedalboard friendly version captures that essence with a refined design and enhanced performance, ensuring it's more user-friendly for modern musicians.

The Maneco Labs compact pedal combines vintage inspiration with modern engineering, offering the creative versatility and unique interaction that characterized the iconic Electro-Harmonix 16 Second Delay, all in a format designed for contemporary setups while preserving the original's distinct charm.

Beautiful room dividers! I'm glad I bought several.
Color: Light Beige, Size: 6-Panel
This room divider is perfect for my use. I bought one with 6 panels and another with 4 panels, mostly to hide areas of my living space when guests come over. The screens are attractive, a pleasing color, just the right height and width, and a very pretty design. They require no assembly and are easy to put in place. When not in use, they store in a compact fashion. The only drawback is the odor from the manufacturing process. I left the screens on an enclosed porch with the windows open for about two weeks before I could tolerate the odor inside the house. After that, there was no problem.

Just the features I needed
Color: Light Beige, Size: 6-Panel
Product was exactly as described and just what I needed to set up a guest room that has a double tinted glass door.facing the font and a road 50 yards away. The glass tint allows people to see inside after dark and interior lights are on, so I needed a very lightweight screen to put up across it for privacy at night and did not want curtains over my showpiece doors. The screen folds neatly and stands up beside an armoire out of sight when not needed, but steps away at night to put up until morning. Lightweight but sturdy—just what I was looking for. Looks high end.

Excellent Structural Privacy Barrier / Zero Assembly Required
Color: Light Beige, Size: 6-Panel
I purchased this 6-panel partition to establish a dedicated recovery zone and create a hard visual perimeter in my room. It serves exactly the function I needed without any unnecessary complexity. The structural execution is excellent. It effectively blocks out light and breaks up the room geometry perfectly. Despite being lightweight enough to reposition rapidly, it remains completely stable once anchored in place. The best part is the zero-bloat deployment—it was ready to use immediately out of the box with absolutely no complex assembly or external hardware required. Highly recommended.
